Yeah, so.. I went with the family and my new girl friend to this Body World exhibit. If you don't know what it is, Dr. Gunther von Hagens, creator of BODY WORLDS and inventor of the plastination technique, has designed BODY WORLDS 2 to reveal significant insights about human anatomy, physiology and health.

Sounds interesting and all right? Still with me? Okay good, the guy gets people to donate their body to him. He then takes the bodies and depending on what he may do, he'll skin the person leaving all the muscle exposed and pose the body with this plastic he came up with to harden everything together.

For you guys living in So-cal they have an exhibit going right now. The IMAX film about the human body was very interesting, but I felt grossed out during some parts. The exhibit itself was interesting.. Again, I felt grossed out during the first part of it, but my folks were joking around with it and I felt better and felt good throughout the rest of the exhibit, I had a good time

im always at awe at the architecture and engineering of the human body. im extremely weired out by some stuff.. like how the eye works and stuff.

I'll see stuff like that everyday next semester though. UAB is one of few schools that lets undergrads hack on human bodies.

not do you think, you'd think...as in although the body is dynamic and has a complex operating system, it seems barbaric that all our heart does is squeeze really tightly until it forces blood through our body. What would be amazing is if we had something more thorough in there.

It's all interesting stuff, like I said the IMAX film was way more graphical.

They showed how the liver helps digest things, and it just like shoots this green ooze shit all over what the food broke down and is bringing along to the intestine.
