This guy has a RX 8 in my office building and proceeded to tell me this and that about his car and how light it is. I told him yeah 98 V6's are 600 pounds heavier and stock the motor was not a beast by any means. he then says but your sounds good with those mufflers, not knowing I have done engine mods. I proceed to tell him about my suspension upgrades and such. Well about an hour later I head out for lunch and who is going out the gate ahead of me HAHAHHAA as I get out the gate and turn left onto a old taxiway for aircraft that is now the back road to my office. He goes to punch it but I beat him to the throttle. He could not shake me I stayed about 2 car lengths behind for safety. as we went through this tight S curve I was still there. I followed him to a major intersection and I was still right behind him. When the light turned green I slid over to the left hand lane and stomped on it. He was rather suprised I was still not behind him but ahead of him by a car length at 83 MPH. we had to slow down quickly as we were entering a speed trap zone and sure enough there was a police cruiser come towards us as I dropped down below 50.
Later he we are head out of the office together and says damn your V6 is fast what did you do to the engine. He could not believe a V6 stang could hang with his car especially in corners. BUT NOW HE KNOWS MUHAHAHHAHA

LOL Nice The RX8 is disappointing compared to the RX7. Plus the back seats of the RX8 are a joke, if you are tall (5'6 and taller) it's horrible.

Oh I know, but the RX8's back seats got a bar that goes between the passanger and the driver and it goes all the way to the back. It's hard to get "comfy" in that thing, you can find a decent position in the Stang with adjusting, but you're screwed in the RX8 :P

I have a friend who is 6 foot 6. He can fit in my backseat if he sits on the passenger side and puts his legs in the driver side. Apparently it's comfortable, but I'm always driving so I really don't care. Haha

I dunno...the one time I've had to ride in the back seat of stang was brent's car with the old shocks...and my god that sucked. We had 4 guys in there driving through Chatanooga...and it ended up being a perfectly worthless trip, go figure.

I am pretty sure that most of us that had decent mods would be able to take a RX8. They have small engines and are quite heavier than the RX7. They are a good car for curves but not straights or drag.
