2010 GT Shifter Information

SpectorV suggested I look into a company called MGW for an upgraded shifter for my 2010 GT(MGW LTD., INC. - CNC Machined and Turned Parts. Accessories for the Corvette, Mustang, and Viper). I looked around their website and all I could find was information on 2009 and older, so I gave them a call. I was quickly routed to George Ciamillo. He seemed to know a good bit about the vehicle but he was unsure about the fit in the 2010. I said that I was in the same state he was more than happy to take a look and see if the shifter would work. I arrived at MGW around noon and George quickly noticed that Ford had changed the design of the shifter. He said if I had time he would like to mock up a prototype. By three o'clock I was on the road with a working prototype. George said that with use of my car as a model he will have production shifters available for shipping in about four weeks. It works GREAT!

So you get to use the prototype for free? and are you getting a discount on the actual production model?

I believe that the way mine was modified will serve as the mold for the new ones to come. It works great - and I can't say enough good things about the service. They know their product and how to make it function to its potential.

MGW has always been good people. This story does not shock me at all about them. And you get a free shifter out of the deal...can't get any better than that.
