Just looking to see what you guys recommend that will fit on the stock 17" Bullitt's - as well as fit under a lowered 2001 GT
I've got a spare set from my '02 GT and looking to upgrade.. (best part is I can interchange these with the buick so I can get awesome times on both cars)
Not looking for Nittos, looking for more grip..
Thanks

Are these wheels 17x9 or 17x8s?
If 17X9:
If you want you can squeez some 315/35DR17s in back there but will need to run 275/40R17s up front.
If 17x8
I would assume 275/40R17s would be all you want in the rear and 245/40R17s in the front.
Why not go slicks? If so Mickey Thompson E/Ts of course...
(Although you said no Nittos)
Nitto 275 DRs
Nitto 315 DRs
BFG 275 DRs
BFG 315 DRs
If you decided to get new street tires I would recommend the
BF G-Force T/As KDWs

A little clarification I guess... the rims are factory bullitts so I am assuming they are 17x8.. D.O.T. legal tires are preferred so i can drive to the track and at will on the street - dont want to deal with tools or storing tires at the track... My street tires are basically new so im good on that front. (potenza 760)

The 275s will be good for you just run a 245 up front. BFG's will get horrible tread wear compared to the Nittos. I wouldn't expect any better than 12,000-15,000 miles on the Nittos (IN BEST CONDITIONS) BFGs 7,500-10,000

thanks man i guess the bfgs are my best bet i used the 255 16s on my 92 hatch.. with a best 60` of 1.78 so 275s should be an improvement... They will fit my lowered gt no problem? Also dont plan on daily driving the tires so that isnt a problem

The M/Ts are the best but I would worry about fitment issues... not sure?? Aren't these tires alot bigger?

I ran those on the back of my WS6 whenever I took it to the track. They really grab. They get my vote.

They aren't any wider than any other brand, they should fit fine. The BFG's seem to always run big and the nittos are usually on the smaller side.

I have the 275/40-17 ET street radials on some 17x8's...they fit under the rear of my lowered cobra still on the IRS and grab like a mo-fo when you heat them up. They get my vote.

They had about 60-80 miles on them, probably. Two trips to and from the drag strip. Four 1/8th mile passes. No burnouts. Then I sold the TA. So then I sold the wheels and tires. The 275/40-18 Nitto 555s on the back of the 'vette hook plenty good. The 2.73 rear-differential just doesn't hit the back tires hard enough.
