Hi, I'm new here and I have a big stupid question!
I want a newer model Stang cause mine is a 2.3 LX and it has alot of problems, bought it used 4 months ago and I have be making repairs on it ever since! Tired of throwing my money away on this bottomless pit!! 
I can't afford a 2005 so I am looking at a 1998 Mustang for sale and I am not sure if I should buy it or not!
Here is what it has:
3.8 V6, 88,000 miles
Automatic Transmission
Flowmaster True Duel EX
Poweraid Throttle Body Spacer
Red W/ White "Mustang" Stripe on the sides
White Pony Decal on rear window

Nice Inside and Out, No Stains, Scratches, Dents, ect.
Runs Great, Sounds Great, Drives Great, No Funny Noises, or Obvious Leaks (Believe Me I Looked All Over The Thing For That!)
Price: 6,495
What do you think, Is that a fair price? Good deal?
Or is this too good to be true and I am asking for an even bigger money pit?

sounds like a good deal, just make sure the book price matches up and get a good test drive and ask the owner(if it is private party) if they have had any mechanical problems at all.

First off, welcome.
Second, to load pics, go to manage attachments right under the window you type in. Click on that. Click browse and select the pictures off your hard drive. When you finish choosing all your pictures, click load pictures. Once that finishes, click close window and post reply.
Thirdly, that seems kinda high for me for a 98 V6, you could get a GT for around the same price. I know my 02 v6 with 50k miles was worth around 9k last time I checked.

I just did a KBB on it and came up with a private party value of 4900 for the car you described...

Looks like you did a MSRP value...that is supposed to be a starting point for negotiating with a dealership. I wouldn't offer over 5500 for it if it was me

Haha ok. I'd go in a dealership with the max amount you are willing to pay in cash, set it down on the desk, say take this or leave it. If they say no, walk out and find another car.

Haha..first mod I'd do is move that spoiler back...needs it so bad. I think I'm gonna start going around with a drill and move ppl's spoiler's back for free...
