Officers shot the guy in a total of 7 times cuz the guy didn't drop his knife. Says nothing about the guy coming at them or anything, to me it sounds like the guy was just standing there with the knife in his hand.

Take guns away from that country except for the officers and you got some itchy trigger fingers eh?

thats dumb.. they should of just had one guy shoot him in the arm or the leg or something. if he missed they would have about 10 more seconds to take him down...

OR they could of just used those bean bag stuff.

well some people ask for it... if I was surrounded by a bunch of cops and I didnt want to die I would drop the knife and proceed to wet my self.

I'd shoot him if he was retarded enough not to drop the damn knife. Probably not 7 times... but I'd still shoot him.

Don't worry, there will be a full investigation, there always is. And some lawsuits.

Bet he won't do that again. If the cops tell you to drop the knife, you better fu**in' drop it. With as many voilent crimes happening, and the numbers of said crimes rising, you can bet the cops feel a tad itchy. Yeah, he died, yeah, it's a tragedy or something, but let's be real. Just refusing to drop the knife that the cop (who has a gun) told you to drop kinda shows intent. If he had made more solid choices from the start, he'd still be very much alive. I'm not saying the cops were right or wrong, as I wasn't there. But these days, you just can't be fu**in' around when the cops tell you to drop the weapon.

a round to the leg would probably equal a lawsuit against the police depatment for maiming the man.

according to the article, a total of 7 shots were fired - it is unknown how many hit the man. also, police tend to carry smaller caliber handguns, so i'm guessing that the man was hit by 9mm. if he was under the influence of drugs or alcohol, the effect of a gunshot of that caliber may not be immediately noticeable, thus welcoming additional shots.

put yourself in the cop's situation... a man has a knife and is threatening his wife and child. you put two rounds into him and he doesn't drop. your choice is to do nothing and run the risk of him running at you or his wife with the knife. the only solution to the problem is to fire as many shots as it takes to put him down.

and bean bag rounds??? the entire confrontation took place in a matter of seconds. do you really think that the cops are gunna ask the guy with the knife to wait while they go back to the car to get a shotgun and some "less then lethal ammo" for it?

Seeing how you aren't from California and the cops are notorious for getting sued over anything you wouldn't know how precautious they have to be towards any situation.

Honestly cops should all be carrying those stun guns. They are a better success rate of taking down a sitation. Just find it funny that these guys go crazy shooting the guy when theres a 7 year old that was present. and seeing as they were unloadining on him. Cant imagine how many were hit on the building itself.

Look how cali is. Cali is an area where you have to be someone cash to be considered at whatever you do. Cali is quite materlistic compared to the rest of the country but thats just what I think on that anyways
