Most GT parts fit Cobras?

I'm new to the Mustangs (just had one given to me today unexpectedly) and I was looking for aftermarket parts. Most things I'm looking at right now are suspension parts and they mostly say fits V6 and GT models. Are Cobras very different as far as suspension because that's what I have? I'm looking at strut braces and I just don't wanna have an issue if I'm picking this up. Thanks.

Cobras have independent rear suspension... which is very different.

Haha you answer all my questions, I should just PM you from now on lol. Would something like strut braces be an issue though?

they are different because the Cobra (03/04 and GT500) have a blower, so the brace has to work its way around that. The Mach 1 is also different because of the shaker. Feel free to use the Thanks button 
I just happen to be bored, and I feel bad for my neighbors. I ran my Dremel on high for about 2 hours tonight... shit gets loud.

I don't think 97 cobras have irs. Weren't the 99 cobras the first ones to ever have irs, out of any mustang?

I think the strut brace is different for the 97 base/GT's and cobras because the intake in the cobras is taller than the base and GT's.

in 97 the engine and transmission differ and such but most all parts are interchangeable overall~
just ask about what you want on here and we can let you know what will work
