Well mr i'm gonna be a smartass. I didn't get the 79 fox because I got real sick for about a week and missed work so my tax return had to help cover bills and if you have any other smartass commments take them elsewhere.

And since I forgot to put this in the first reply to this post...What Spector says is very true... wait till you ... are ready for it. If you do decide to go with an 03/04...be sure you are ready for the power. Going from a Ranger to a Cobra is going to be a huge change. We dont' need any more cobra owners putter their cars onto their tops or into solid objects. The power in the cobra takes a lot of restraint when on the roads...or else lots of trouble will ensue.
*stepping off soap box*
With that said, I say target an 04. The chances of getting an 04 with the head tick fixed and stall flash fixed are much greater than an 03. Plus, there are still brand new 04 cobras on some lots that may still be there later since a new model is coming out.
The MACH is nice, but it is more show than go. Sure it looks good, buying that would be, for me, more about heritage than anything else. To me, the 05 is a like a secretaries car...just like the original mustangs were. (Sorry 05 owners). They look decent, and the look will grow on me more, but I just don't see the 05 as a "must have" type of car like the 03 was when it was announced.
Before I get in more trouble...go 04 cobra...it will put an unending smile on your face...and a serious look of fear on your passanger's face.

Trust me I understand exactly what you mean. I had a auto 96 gt when I was 17 and lets just say ummm....got loose many times lol. Parts of me really wants another one like it, but 2 years from now it'll be pretty old. So i'm looking for a newer like 1-2 years old when that time comes. I know a lot of people said crap about me changing my mind, but not this. I've been planning this for years now. It was a promise I made to myself when I got rid of my gt. Not some fickle comment. Yeah I changed my mind a lot for a while there and blah blah blah, but seriously some people on here need to get over that shit and drop it, it's seriously old. You dont see me going around talking shit about other people. I expect the same amount of respect I give other people and i've given y'all nothing but respect. So I would appreciate it if the people who continue that crap stop. BTW thanks for your input and thanks for sticking to the topic.

Never said I was gonna drive like an ass dunno where you got that from. I was just saying I was young and stupid when I had my gt and didn't know how to drive it. I dont really drive all that aggressive anymore and if I do it's nothing that big.

some people can handle the power some cant... I personally can I have drove plenty of pretty fast cars, from my friends mustangs ( mike and ben ) whom both are pretty quick, just got to have respect, you can kill yourself in a 10hp ford fiesta if you are stupid enough.....
Having a rwd car when you are used to a FWD is a different world lol... I know when i put a tlok in my car it totaly changed its road manors

Yeh, I had to relearn how to drive after being in a FWD for 3 years. At least I knew how to control them with my dad's Ranger being so loose. It jumps sideways across bumps b/c of the suspension being so stiff for towing.

never said you were a bad/stupid driver.. I was more responding to someone elses post about 'not being able to handle power'
I was basically trying to say if you can't handle power that's fine, just be sure you're the only one you hurt when you lose control.. that's what I meant about it.. wasn't talking about you not being able to handle it, was just saying in case you can't.. get it? okay

By then i'll have a better job making more then 11 an hour. This is what i'm looking at now. If all goes well when it comes down to buying it. I'll only be financing around 15k. Also 11 an hour is a big jump since the best paying job i've had was 7.50 an hour.
