2000 v6 new throttle body

Hey guys, i was wondering if any of you knew what the measurements of the stock throttle are.

I am thinkin about replacing the throttle with the bbk thats sold at americanmuscle (65mm)

im just wondering whether or not its gonna b a significant change...

u won't gain any hp or even feel it. If you really want a bigger throttle body I think the ones off the 5.0's will fit.

the website says i could gain up to 10hp... I also got a cold air intake.

cold air won't do anything either. When i had my v6 i got one for it and i got 1 mph better in the 1/8 mile. And if you get 10 hp off a throttle body for a stock v6. I will buy it for you.

i have to admit i did notice a nice difference with the "cai" in acceleration... Also its sounds a bit nicer too!

Yah, typically you will get better throttle response and a deeper tone from the CAI, any power gains are minimal though. As upton7 said, the t/b isn't worth the time or money right now...same goes for the t/b spacer.

I'd put the money towards a tuner or gears...those are some effective mods.

its a worthless item at near stock hp levels, do not waste your coin on one. Do a CAI (gain very little) and do an under drive pulley, dual exhaust, and 3.73 gears/tloc
