Okay I can't decide if I like this plate on my les paul or not. Let me know which way you think it looks better.

the plate is there to protect it right? then i would leave it.

I dunno man, thats a tough call, but shedding weight is a good thing, gotta remember the power to weight ratio. Though, that is the strangest looking mustang I have ever seen! Does it have rotary and pistons??

lol just realised it was posted in the wrong place. I thought I had it in gd. Oh well would a mod please move it 
It's a pickgaurd, but it doesn't really do anything. A lot of them come without them. It's more of personal preference.

and it does absolutely nothing.. if you manage to damage your guitar with a pick you are doing something wrong...

That will probably be my next guitar. I've got an Ibanez GS right now and it's not too bad, but the tone of the Les Paul is just amazing

Right now I have my les paul, ibanez acoustic, ibanes 7string, ibanez s 470 and gax30. Also if your getting a guitar go through musiciansfriend.com I got my epi for 400 with free shipping and its price was 800. Awesome places to buy stuff from. I've gotten 2 guitars and my drum set through them and countless other small items.

I have an ovation celebrity that I got for $150  great acoustic guitar. I got my ibanez for 225, normally it's around 350.
