Im sorry i do not remember the exact magazine, but i read a full article in a automative magazine, NOT a mustang magazine or a hot rod magazine, but the type of magazine you see articles on every type of car.
They decided to compare the new camaro, challenger and mustang. after reading the 6 page article i was a little surprised that it was a NO contest according to the magazine. the mustang is hands down better then both according to them. It went on to say, explain to us how a 315 horse power car is as fast as a 450 horse power camaro? yes the mustang weighs 300 lbs less.
continued to talk about the superb handeling of the mustang and the fact that the mustang is the ONLY one that actually SOUNDS like a muscle car. Also they had to mention that how is it that the LIVE AXEL CAR handels better then the cars with independent rear suspension. The only awnswer they could come up with is that ford has stayed in the game through out the years and that chevy and dodge are just now making a comback. The article said both companys have a long way to go in order to match up to the mustang.
looks like ford kills the competition. oh yah and they also mentioned that the mustang is the cheapest as well. who wouldnt buy a mustang after reading that!! i love the look of the challenger but ford seems like they have it all together!

it was car and driver, its 426hp camaro not 450~ if auto then only 400hp~ but yea the weight plays a big factor.. the 2011 mustang should be even better

Yah read that article in c/d at the dentist. Put a nice grin on my face. Goes to show that the mustang is a well rounded performing car, and when the other two fade away again, the mustang will roll on

i know it sucks cause i really really like the body! but, no performance, if you want performance out of it, youll have to buy the steve saleen version which only starts at 75 k lol |

I like the retro look as well, but +75k will buy you a whole lot of mustang that the challenger can't touch

I still want the challenger...even if it is a performance dud. I already have the fast car, so I wouldn't need to make it fast.
I didn't read the article, but I Remember pointing it out to Lynn in the airport shop when we were flying to boston.

^^^If I owned a cobra I'd be content with an R/T to get the mild v8 performance and the retro look.
