if you were to mod a stock engine, any engine...which would you prioritize first?
forge/stroke & nitrous....$3500-$4500
or
supercharger/tune....$3500-$4500
same price lets say...both planned eventually but which first? i'm leaning toward supercharger personally because of the instant gratitude....but then again you have the reliability of forged internals for the supercharger later with the first option

id go supercharger. i dont have anything against nitrous but.. i think this quote is appropriate.
babies use bottles.. real men get blown.
i saw it in a sig in some forum. the s/c will always be there but you have to use nitrous and refill it etc etc.

that bottles are for babies crap is fucking stupid. i would never run a super charger or turbo on a stock engine, with a good tune and a moderate shot of nitrous your engine will still run great.

however nitrous is limited... You use it even moderately on the street and your wallet takes a huge hit..

very true. 35 bucks a fill. becomes a pain esp when shops sometimes have nitrous issues (empty tanks or just plain issues)
But for those who say juice are for babies you have no clue what your talking about.
Juice is nice but once you go juice you cant go back ( I was fortunate I went for the s/c )

yeah.. like i said.. i have nothing against nitrous.. in fact i hope to have it someday along with a purge *drool*. it was just a quote to show that a SC > nitrous which in my opinion it is. i thought a sc was possible on a stock engine but i guess i was wrong.

supercharging a stock motor is all a matter of knowing the limits and getting a good tune. Centrifugal blowers aren't as hard on your engine either because you can keep the boost low for regular driving and when ya wanna really hit it you just downshift to get your revs/boost up

im running 7 psi at the moment keeping it real safe due to the high mileage and winter season.
once I get my oil issue taken care of ill be getting retuned to at least start pushing 11 psi **crosses fingers**
and thats where the stang doesnt become a DD anymore
