my mother is trying to send emils on dial up (should be outlawed) and the pics are far to big, I know how to do it but its not easy telling someone over the phone and all that who doesnt really know that much about a cpu... is there a free program that makes it VERY easy to down size a jpg or what not ??? if so please link me!

i usually use microsoft picture viewer. go to "images" click on "resize". you can make the picture smaller, or if you just want to reduce the file size, you can resize it to 90%, and that will make the file size smaller.

images -> sketch/skew and adjust to equal proportions (it starts at 100%/100% for vertical/horizontal - go with 80%/80% for example) I took a 600kb image as a test just now, set it to 60%/60% and it cut it down to 110kb
