I lost my manual so I wanted to know when the Low Fuel Icon comes up how much miles of gas is left? I heard it was 20 from somewhere, if anyone has a 2002 Mustang GT or knows how much more miles of gas are left let me know! Thanks!

Well, I ran on empty once and the trip said 18.7 miles when I coasted into the gas station...keep in mind this was an 03 3.8 v6, so it could be different.
I'd hope no one could actually tell you how far you can go, because they probably ran out of gas!

about 1.5 gallons maybe just a gallon, you probably have 50 miles left~ its bad for your fuel pump to go below 1/8th

Yah keep it above an 1/8th or you'll burn out the fuel pump and it'll start whining all the time. Had it happen with a GMC yukon, got annoying after a while.

I've heard you have about 40 miles until the car runs out of gas, that is if you get the averaged MPG. I believe the light comes on with about a gallon and a half left, so if it's a 15.4 gallon tank it might come on at 14 gallons.
Basically if it comes on make sure your next stop is to a gas station. I have had the needle touch red, and a little after the light come on, however I live right off of what they call gasoline alley due to the numerous gas stations around here.
Normally I'd try to fill up at 1/4 of a tank, but I've been trying to hold off on filling up as often.

I had the light come on again recently. It seems to come on when 13 gallons are used up. Just thought I'd give an update and more accurate information.
