Oh, and was the pop like on a regular pattern that changed with what speed you were going. Kinda like going faster as you go faster?

Better off just getting a t5 from somewhere and swapping probrobly.
If you have an automatic you can find kits online for 1250-1800 bucks. Manual then you prob only need the main tranny parts. You can get a used one for like 900.

He said the sound is from the rear passenger side and you guys are telling him to get a transmission swap right of the bat! I don't no about you but that's NOT where my transmission is located! Also since he said he put it in PARK, I have to assume that he has an auto.
If it is not covered by a warranty, Please don't invest in a transmission just yet!
I would have the rear axle, and differential checked out first!! Also you may have damaged your rear suspention.
I don't know how old your car is, but if you bought it at the dealership new than it should have a 3 year, 36,000 mile bumper to bumber warranty.

if you were not going fast and you have a manual i doubt its the tranny unless it didnt go all the way in and you forced it in or something out of the ordinary it may just be your U joint or something messed up but you never know

I wasn't trying to upset you, I sorry....
I was just suprised that the sound in the rear passanger side of the car was over looked so quickly since most of what he said had to do with the rear end.
In his first post he wasn't sure what was wrong, and was asking if it could be his transmission....
