Bah who cares. Why do people get all upset when somebody dies. You'll all die someday and if somebody didn't respect you while you were alive, I don't see why they all have to respect you when you're dead. This is not referring exactly to the pope but I thought the original picture was hilarious. But just because somebody died doesn't mean you have to respect them. It's no big deal; it's natural; it's not negative, I don't know why it's such a touchy subject. |

Well I don't think the pope is anybody that is more special than any other individual.
I can't figure out how they elect a pope, and this decision of men makes him on a higher plane with God...
I don't really wanna start a religious debate. The picture was funny, is funny, and will be funny until people forget the Pope died around April Fools. I don't care what happens to me after I die, I'm dead, I'm not here anymore, it's just a sack of bones.

Guys the April fools one was good and as a former Catholic I would say the Pope himself would have laughed at that one. He was a remarkable guy for even non Catholics. He knew several languages, Snow skied and enjoyed pulling pranks on his friends who were Cardinals.
He was a man of great convictions and with his help, Reagan was able to bury the Soviet Union and the Eastern Bloc countries colasping communism in Europe

Pic is funny...I feel we can all enjoy the picture and still respect the Pope. Eventhough I'm not catholic, I still respect the Pope b/c of my multiple friends who are catholic..

I guess I am the only one, but I did not find the pic funny.
as for the respect thing. There are many people in the world that do not consider George Bush to be anything special, yet I know that almost everyone on this board would demand respect for him. I demand respect for the leader of my country(USA) as well as I demand respect for the leader of my church.
