Cai install help

I bought a Mac CAI for my 2004 auto v6 and i can not figure out how to install it. Ive looked at the directions several times looked at different mustang sites that show how to install the CAI and i still dont get it. I ordered a lot of stuff like a throttle body and spacer and this CAI. The only thing that looks like it fits and will do anything useful is this CAI. How do you get the larger pipe to go through the bracket into the filter all through the gap in the fender. The filter i have is way too big to fit through the gap in the fender and i went under the car to put it in but then it is impossible to tighten the clamp. I think i might have the wrong filter. I called RPM OUTLET which is where i ordered it from and they dont answer their phone. I already tried to return all this stuff but they wouldnt let me return back in september a couple days after i ordered it. I dont know if im a complete idiot ( very possible) or this is the wrong part or wrong filter. Any help would be greatly appriciated.

your first mistake was ordering from rpm outlet.

ya i hate rpm outlet. I ordered $800 worth of stuff and none of it seems to fit and then they wouldnt allow me to return it. I tried to get my money back through my credit card company but it didnt work out. I saw that article and i still dont know how to get the airfilter to connect to the lower pipe because it has to go through the bracket.

you put the braket first then you put the air filter on.
