Cleaning rims

My rims are extremely dirty and i cant find anything that cleans them up good. My friend has a certain glass cleaner that works really well, but he doesn't have any right now, and doesnt know what its called. Anyone have suggestions?

meguires has a really good wheel cleaner..also Simple Green is amazing to clean almost anything

I use turtle wax chrome wheel wash...spay on hose off...works great for me and continues to repel dirt.

i just use soap and water, but i put 2 coats of wax on my wheels before i had them mounted( my other stang )

I use some sort of wheel cleaner the first time...then I wax them. If they get bad in the back again, I take each wheel off and use the wheel cleaner again and wax them again. Each wash I hit them with the Zaino quick detailer (Z6 I believe).
