I have a 2004 V6 auto and i love the way it looks but i really want something more powerful. I originally wanted to keep my V6 and get a 5.0 but my dad wont let me so its either i keep the v6 and do a couple of mods or sell it and get a 99-04 gt. I think my cars worth around $10,000 and i could pick up a decent gt for around $12,000. My V6 doesnt feel that slow but i am just hating the auto trans. Its just so boring. What would you do? I have around $2000 saved up and to either get some mods for my v6 or purchase a gt. I dont want to invest in my v6 unless i know i am keeping it.
Thx, Alex

Check on insurance rates before you do anything, I know that that is a huge reason I'm still sportin a sixer.

ima go out on a limb here and say id keep the 6 and either do a 4.6 swap or a 4.2 and have the power of a bone stock GT if not more..with the 4.2(if u use the right heads and what not) for what it'd cost to buy a GT + still pay insurance of the 6....

but for every mod he does to the GT it'd do twofold over the mods for the v6.. no offense 6ers.. plus the GT already has the suspension/trans for it..
hydroboost owns all too

You CAN make a V6 fast, it just takes alot more work. If i could afford the insurance and gas I would have a GT in a heartbeat. but guess what, I can't so you know what i'm gonna do is save up and put money into the v6 since thats what I can afford. If you can AFFORD the GT then i say go for it
