I'm going to make a 4" power pipe for around $75
getting:
4" x 45 degree rubber elbow
4" to 3.5" 90 degree rubber elbow
4" to 4" 90 degree rubber elbow
4" x 12" aluminized steel pipe
I just need the small tubes for the air lines.

you can get steel tube to weld to it at www.fastenal.com as well
for those breather lines n all.

i use http://www.magnumforce.com for all my tubing needs. you can get pre made mandrel bends and chop them up and weld them and make your own exhaust, intake, etc. thats how i made a fmic kit for 300 bucks, including the fmic.

yeah, what I like about the airflow systems site is all of the rubber connector sleeves they have available. You can piece together a lot of stuff without much welding.
I'll just have to weld on 3 small tubes
5/8", 3/4" and 1-1/2"
all of those about 1.5" long

the only problem with using so many couplers/reducers is the more you have, the more chances youll get a boost leak somewhere. it doesnt matter much on a sc cause the pipe from the sc to the intake is rather small, but on a car such as mine where theres around 11ft of pipe between the turbo and the intake, a pinhole leak will cause problems in performance, mileage, driveability. if my turbos making 20psi but only 15psi is making it to the intake, the boost controller sees that and upps the boost to make that 20psi, overworking the turbo by as much as 25%, leading to a short life span of the turbo. get enough boost leaks(or a big enough one) and you wont be able to drive anywhere with boost, it bogs due to being so rich. for me thats the only downfall of having a turbo, always seems that on a long race(3rd to 5th freeway pull) after being in 20psi for that long of a time you WILL get a leak somewhere.

Yeah, I'm using mine on the intake side of the supercharger too, so It will be under vacuum and not pressure.
I wouldn't use a rubber elbow on the exhaust side of the blower
