400 for the rebuild kit. 650-700 for the PI converter and 150 to 300 for build up and installation by a tranny shop

and thats just the parts what about labor im sure as hell they did not just charge 300 for labor. also shops dont give you the parts at their cost, we charged parts at 150% so if we got a part for 30 bucks we charged 45 bucks to the customer.

so then you are not sure if they replaced everything. you just know they beefed up necessary parts. see if you would have said that instead of saying they replaced EVERY thing it would have been different.

You live in Cali you pay to much for everything except for Crack and Mexican food
300 will be a general accepted cost to build a tranny and install it here in GODS COUNTRY The SouthEast
I got a complete custom exhaust system installed with Dynomax mufflers for 250.00 I know in Cali that would not cover the Labor

shift kit increase pressure so yes, but all that added pressure goes onto drums and bands that were not made to grab so hard. and clutches that were not meant to recieve such a shock.

300 dollars to rebuild a tranny, man thats nothing the usual labor rate is about 700. the shop owner has to make money as well as the techs 300 just does not cut it.
and crack is still expensive.

Volume is the reason. One of the guys there assembles 7 trannys a day That is all he does and one guy installs them and one is a floater who does either. and the owner will build up also

yeah we had R&R's (remove and replace trannies) and rebuilders, but man 300 to rebuild a tranny was not gonna satisfy any one hell its 150 just to remove it and another 150 to replace it. shit might be cheaper for some clients to send their trannies out of state

A high stall convertor with a real high, say 3000 rpms, might cause a lot of heat, better go with a good trans cooler. I wouldn't want a high stall convertor, unless I was going to run the car on the drag strip very often. Those things ruin the drivablity of a car, saw a truck with one, he couldnt' take off in reverse without melting tires. That would suck to me.
