Yeah.. see title..
How do I get baked on rubber off of my exhaust tips?
I can't scrape it off, I can't buff it out, aluminum polish doesn't work, aluminum cleaner doesn't work
it doesn't wanna budge
am I stuck with it?

Claybar? Maybe bleach and a toothbrush, or heat it back up somehow and scrape with a plastic knife?
Dunno, I had some stuck on gas(from when my tank leaked) and rubber on mine and I just scraped the big pieces off and went nuts with the polish.
Eagle One Chrome Polishing Pads, dunno if it was the product or what but it helped.

I sprayed WD-40 on my tailpipes, let it set, and scrubbed it of with a brillo pad Took me a few minutes. Then I put a coat of wax on them. They look great now.

Get a can of MEK at Lowe's, home depot or Walmart. put some on a rag and it will disappear. Then get some eagle one neverdull in a can. Take some of the wadding out and apply, let dry and buff off. Then take some car wax and wax it. This will help prevent rubber and tar from sticking to them

Mek is Methyl Ethyl Ketone similar to Acetone. It is used as a cleaner on metal in the military is it a good solvent. I use MEK to do initial cleaning then get the neverdull cotton wad to do final cleaning and shining.
