I have a few light surface scratches that popped up
I want to get rid of them. Anything you guys recommend?

3m clear coat safe rubbing compound is really nice, I would wash with dawn (regular) detergent (liquid only) and then fully dry, rubbing compound 2 times really good, wash with dawn again, then clay bar, wash to remove clay bar stuff, then put on wax/etc

I used mothers last time, worked good, either is probably fine

also keep in mind that regime will be something you would do every year or two~ not regularly.

does this work if i got deeper scratches but not like super deep just enough to take some clear coat out of my shine

Depending on the severity of the scratch you may need to use a buffer. If you haven't buffed before I would pay someone to do it depending on the surface you can burn the paint fairly easily. Generally if you can catch your fingernail in a scratch it's there for good touch up paint may have to be used. Make sure your car is cool and out of the sun before attempting to remove scratches.
