a little background before my story so its easier to understand:
right before spring semester in january, my friend invites me to his house to introduce me to this girl. one of my other friends who had met her before me (who has a g/f) at the club pretty much played her and they wanted to kinda just get her to talk to me and not him anymore b/c he had a g/f and didnt want her to know. so i meet her and we start talking. i start to really like her and she feel the same way about me. so we went out twice and after the second date she stops talking to me all of a sudden. well one of my friends tells me its b/c she said that she didnt like me or my personality, and thought i was too stuck on my car (  wtf!!)
that was about one month ago.
so today i send her a txt message and tell her that i didnt appreciate what she did to me. she told me we seriously needed to talk. so when i get outta class today she tells me that she has been having some trouble w/ everything thats been going on and she needed time. after saying sorry about 10 million times and telling me that she feels like a bitch for doing that to me, i forgive her.
heres the fucked up part.
she tells me that my friend (the one that didnt want her in the first place) has been talking to her and they have become friends (okay cool) she also tells me that he asked her out this weekend  i was like "WHAT!!!" "he knew that i liked you and that i wanted to start over with you again and he goes behind my back and asks you out!!!!" and he still has a g/f. i am sooooo pissed right now.
the only comforting thing is that she told me that she doesnt want a serious relationship anymore and still kinda thinks he is an ass for playing her before and tells me that she likes me as a friend as of now and wants to start talking to me agian, but only as friends for now. i'm cool with the fact that they are friends, but dont go behind my fuckin back and try to go out with the girl that you know i like.
i thought drama belonged in high school and i also thought that the guy that i have know since 3rd grade would have a little more respect than that, i guess i was wrong on both counts.

tell her to screw off...heres why
a girl will keep you around as a friend, for a fail safe, because her knowing that youre after her will boost her confidence, youll never tell her what she doesnt want to hear, you wont do things to upset her, you wont be a dick to her, because you want her, so she'll always be able to come back to you, use you for that comfort, then go mess around with these guys who treat her like crap, then she'll come back to you, you comfort her, build her confidence back up...
she'll be using you like a crutch |

yeah, she's doesnt want to have a relationship with any guy right now b/c of things that have happened recently. i see where you're coming from but i would like to have her as a friend. key word "friend" that means i can still ask the girl in my english class out to lunch tuesday and not feel guilty.

things that happened recently? youre already becoming a crutch...she see's you as a friend, and will lean on you, and itll become more drama and emotional stress
go ahead and ask the girl out for lunch anyways, regardless of what happens with this girl, not like youre gonna get laid over lunch, so no need to feel guilty |

Tbird, couldn't have said it better myself. That's why I break off all relationships with GF's I broke up with because they're annyoing, selfish, or demanding.
Just stay friends with the girls you could only ever be friends with. Don't try to do anything with them as you'll just lose a friend in the end.
Keep women and friends in two seperate categories meng.

im not saying 100% ignore her, but dont bother trying to be a real friend, keep a "hi/goodbye" basis, because she'll suck you right into her drama without you even knowing it, ive been there many times, and im the type of person to try to help everyone with their situation, so i got hammered emotionally
when we went out to lunch, you didnt even kiss my cheek...and you expect to get laid?!
