Been looking at a new 2004 Crown Vic. Ford's tossing back $6,000 to buyers. So I can get one for around $24k.
Anyone know if any Mustang suspension goodies bolt on?
I'm thinking a Crown Vic with a Bulliet suspension, a blower, Cobra brakes and 17" rims.
Be the fastest old man in town, lol.

I plan on owning a Crown Vic when I get to be around 25. I love those cars.
Make it a beast of an old man car.

Get one with the police edition packages. Such nice cars, like what fishers has.

Well, since I am looking at 2004's I can only get what's on the lot. Ford's not kicking back $6k for the 2005's, yet.

yes you are insane. i dont know about the crown vics, but i bought my tbird thinking i can use a mustangs upgrade path and have a quick sleeper, boy was i wrong. biggest mistake in my life. i raced a 03 cv when i was still pimpin the tbird and we were dead even on the freeway. i think the crown vics and mn12's share more in common than a cv and a stang, that being mn12's and CV's are both heavy, big, and underpowered. i think then need to shove a 5.4 in that engine bay so all you have to do is get a sc kit from a lightning and slap that sucker on and go play with some LS1's.

Yeah, your right. The Crown Vic is a whale. I think I'll probably just go with a Chrysler 300C if I want a 4 door boat.

Weird?
I use to own a 1964 Chrysler 300, I loved that car. 413 engine, stick shift, 12.95's in the quarter. 15 mpg on a good day, 12 usually. Met my wife driving that car. I like 300's.

I love crown vics
if at all possible
find one with a center console..
if no center console at least please please please get the 'sport' package with dual exhaust and 260(? or was it 240? - the upgraded HP rating..)
a lot of mustang parts will bolt on... I believe they make supercharger kits for them, too.. or am I thinking just marauders?

I'm kinda stuck with what is left over from the 2004 model year.
I priced out the 2005 with the sport package. A 300 with a 345 hp Hemi is similar in pricing to the Crown Vic sport. What I'd like is to talk to the fleet purchasing guys and see if I can get a cop spec CV for cheap.

the CV's use a full-frame construction.
The only T-birds that use the Fox chassis were the 83-88. Many suspension parts should bolt on there.
Get an older Baby LTD and you could use Fox body parts.

I don't want an old car, I got my 65 Cuda to satisfy the old car urge, it's two month and 8 days older than me. If I really get the old car urge I'll dig my 38 Plymouth out of storage and wrench on it.
