The other morning I was w/ some friends and they asked w/ my lights were on. I checked and the switch was off and the car was unlocked, but the headlights and running lights were all on. I hit the unlock and lock funtions on the key fob serveral times and eventually got the lights to turn off only to have them turn back on after a few minutes. This is about the 3rd time this has happened to me and has happend both before and after installing the wiring pigtail, so I think that is not part of the issue.
Someone mentioned to kill the "lights on feature" on the car after unlocking it, so per the owners manual, we killed the lights on after unlock and to date no more issues. I also mentioned this to dealer after I went there with another minor issue. He shrugged his shoulders and said he'd never heard of that issue. That wasn't the answer I was looking for.
Has anyone else had issues w/ not being able to turn off the headlights?
Any time there is some-out of the ordinary- gremlin(s)-I would always have them run a diagnostic check 
just to make sure there are no "codes" being "pulled" in the computer. If the problem seems to be gone-the next time you are in for something-get them to check the system at the same time..
