my clutch is making weird noises and it happens even if i barely push it in. i can just have my foot resting on it and it makes this kind of a grinding noise and continues when i push the clutch all the way in. it's been doing this for a long time so i finally decided to get on here and ask about it. i don't know much about clutches. does anyone know what is causing this?

1 ) don't rest your foot on a clutch pedal... even the slightest pressure = less pressure on clutch..
2 ) how many miles on the car/clutch? it could be a bad throw out bearing..

oem ford clutch parts are dirt cheap go to www.gefracing.com , they are a ford dealer in georgia and they have oem parts.. they dont list those any more but you can call em and ask em about oem part prices, I belive you can get EVERYTHING for 150 bucks~ 200 max and thats EVERYTHING just have to pay 200~ to get it installed, you will get a new clutch, pressure plate, bearings etc etc

ive heard good reviews on the spec stage II clutch. it will last a long time but i think it costs close to $300. good quality too. the stage I is cheaper and might last just as long but i dont know anyone who has used it. if you arent lookin to spend that much money go for the OEM ones mentioned above. just a suggestion

So all together your looking at spending about $400 to get OEM clutch/pressure plate installed or $500+ for better quality parts to be installed. Or if you have the means to do the install yourself... Then save yourself $200!
