I have an auto 03 v6. A buddy of mine dad said he would give me a 85 fuel injected 302 and he has the tranny and computer(i dont know about the computer) That means i have to find a rear end, but do you guys think its worth it. Oh yeah i will probably have to buy a rebuild kit for the motor

You need to upgrade your suspension, put in subframe connectors, and be ready for things to break...cuz they will. Your car is built for a V6...but go for it if you're bad.

if it came out of a grand marquis, truck, or any other '85 fuel injected car.. it is definitely NOT worth it, so don't bother..
they weren't even roller motors then

most definitely.. at 190 HP and 220 lb ft of torque.. I can almost guaruntee it'd be faster than the non-roller non HO 5.0..
I think it had 140 HP and 240 lb-ft?
you'd probably spend less swapping a 4.2 in than you would getting that 5.0 swapped in..
of course if you had $5k to mod the motor itself that's a different story

actually, in 85, if it was an automatic, itll have CFI, with gray top injectors
Monte: 85 was the first year for roller
either way, the pre 86 engines arnt worth the hassle, they dont have that great of heads (the 85's arnt bad, but arnt great), and their pistons suck
