hot to tell the dif between PI motor and reg motor

the reason I ask this , (new to ford) my buddy across the street has a 4.6 also and our motors dont look alike mine has 2 coil packs in the front of the motor and his does not.

96-98 are non pi aren't they?

That would be correct. I believe all PI are COP...might be wrong. Gonna research to find out real quick....

yea plug wires - 96-98 gt 99-00 dont have them and the oil filler is on the pass side, 01-04 have oil filler on drivers side, they say 99-00 are stronger, they were built at the romeo plant.
