Jasper Reman Rear

I had a jasper reman rear put in about two months ago with 3.73's and tlok by a ford dealer. It was whining like crazy when they put it in and they said that was normal and said it would go away. 6,000 miles later its still doing that. Is that normal or is the dealer full of ****?

If my gears were whining, I'd make em fix it. Carry that thing back in and make them fix it.

no its not normal unless those gears are know to whine, richmond gears whine too.

sounds to me like they dont know their a** from a hole in the ground when it comes to putting in a rear end... a whine is the sign of a poor install.. they probably knew it just trying to get you out of the shop and hope you give up.

the funny thing is the rear has a 3yr. 75,000mile warrenty. Do you know if jasper puts ford gears back in the reman or do they use something else?

probably ford, take it back MAKE them fix it.. its backlasy, pinion depth, wear pattern, etc alot of stuff has to be set and DONT take no for an answer.
