I want to organize a weekend meet so we can get together. When it comes to a bunch of car people getting together... well you need some event going on so everyone doesn't get bored. So with that said I figure a car show might work as it will give us all something to do one Saturday.
Its looking like April (around the Big Show put on by Town and Country Ford in Bessemer, Al) This is pretty much just a touch south of Birmingham~ The show has not been confirmed yet but when it is I will let you know. If not this show we will pick another one and hopefully it will be in the spring time before its super hot out side.
The plans will be a car show hang out Saturday followed by hopefully some sort of BBQ get together for Saturday Night. Sunday we can go snap some pics or what ever we wish to do before we all head home.
We can plan to get together Friday or earlier in the week beforehand, I know some of you wont be able to come but for a weekend so that might work best. Everyone arrive Friday, we all meet up and go to the show Saturday, then have fun Saturday eventing/Sunday until we all have to go back home.

Right now I am planning to get there on a thursday night so I Can be there and be fresh for friday-sunday.
I just need to know the dates we are looking at for this is all. And I asked this in our staff discussion on this topic but we never resolved it. Are there any cabins or the like we could all stay at like we did at wheeler? That worked out perfect for what we were doing, specially at night. I think that would be great to do again...but hotels would make due I guess.
On the topic of hotels...if there is no option of cabins like before, we should try and lock down a hotel for all of us to stay at some we don't end up scattered around at different locations. This way we could all hang out at the hotel as well.

As far as I know there are no camp areas other than possibly at Oak Mountian but I dont think they allow alcohol~ so it will probably be a hotel type situation.
I need to figure out if the Big Show has been set as far as a date (which I doubt). I will talk with SouthernStangs ( Southern Stang Mustang Club) about any events they are having, we may can do one of those but it wont be as big as the Big Show car show I dont expect~ I know last time I went there was a dyno there and other interesting things.
I dont see having an issue getting a hotel reserved for everyone~ but I would like everyone to know as much ahead as possible to make arrangments.

Right. Plus, maybe if we can get a rough head count and call around to some of the hotels we can get a block of rooms at a discounted rate and such like we did in New Orleans. Those rooms were half priced which worked out great.

lol but do the math via google maps, that place is a bit far from say Bessemer~ but it all depends on where the event is going on that we will be going to. Usually though its around Hoover/Pelham/Alabaster/Bessemer which is a bit south of Bham city limits.

Me and my buddy Flynn went to Atlanta for a day a couple of weekends ago and we got to the hotel at 6:45.... lets just say both hands were full on the way back from each trip. |

the wheeler meet was cool, the only downside was nothing to do but hang out at the cabin (which isnt that big of a deal but... having some event located around the get together might be more fun and draw more folks locally and elsewhere)

You right but I like to do it! It's fun and I like being able to meet and talk to different people. I'm not afraid to approach business owners and I have alot of people I know from the BR area due to my job at Mercedes.
BTW Brent, you need to look into getting a HUGE ME banner that we can start hanging at our events and stuff! Maybe more than one...IDk
