car's out of the shop

finally got my car back. was without it for 2 days.

had the spark plugs changed
fuel filter
new master cylinder
tune-up
control arm bushing replaced
caliper bracket replaced

cost me a nice arm and leg, but at least its running well again.

PS. before anyone says that i could change my own plugs and fuel filter... i know i can. i have to tools, but its 106* out down here, i just finished w/ finals yesterday, and i just didnt really want to do it and since my brakes were getting redone in the shop, i just said screw it and them do it all.

so now i think im ready for my road trip finally

I have a mini-fridge for my car. It kicks so much ass. Does 75 degrees plus or minus ambient temp. Only problem is while it's seatbelted in and facing sideways it can't be opened. And if it's opened and we hit a bump, all the bottles or cans fall out. I can't face it forward because the fan in the back gets blocked. I can't think of away to install the damn thing, so it sits in my room keeping a 12 of Corona and jar of green olives cold for an emergency. :-P
