Well, I have dumps Flowmaster 40 ORIGINALS, and well, im just kind of tired of all the vibration in my car, so im gonna get tips+hangars, welding etc, whole install from the dumps all the way back for 100 bucks cause I know the guy and hes a buddy of mine, and all im really wondering is, will this decrease performance? I really CANNOT see how just adding Tips straight out will decrease performance, one of my MEAThead friends keep telling me that if I get tips itll decrease performance thats why you see all the mustangs with dumps...<---HIS words, haha. Please clarify if you have a minute!
Thanks!

You see dumps cause people are cheap.
Unless you stick some tiny pipe back there ou aren;t going to notice any difference in hp.

the only way you lose performance is if its a restriction, and if you run the same sized pipe that feeds the mufflers, out of the mufflers...how would that be a restriction?

You will have no problems doing this and the exhaust won't be quite as loud inside your car.

yea only thing that can hurt it is if its restricted, like going to like 2" pipe or something crazy, or not having mandrel bent pipes...

Actually you won't see any a lose but maybe a slight increase in torque. Also, you're mustang will sound much better with the exhaust going out the rear.

my car has no tails, nor does it have dumps...dunno where I stand on this lol
I have the tails just prally gonna wait til I can get them welded to the mufflers before I put them on, or if I get bored this weekend lol. the tailpipes help mellow out the tone of it but still sounds really good compared to nothing or dumps. besides with my single chambers im basically running open pipe so I want tailpipes instead of it exiting right before the axle haha

Get some 3" stainless steel rolled or angle cut tips. They are in my opinion the nicest and most common. I think 2.25 might look a little small back there but thats my opinion.

My 3 inch rolled tips look a little small to me... going up to 3 1/2 rolled this summer with a gt rear bumper.
