Found something strange.

Well I was out cleaning out the inside of the stang and found something strang.

I had pulled the cup holders to wash them and in the process pulled the shifter cover off. I unhooked the cigarette lighter and then found a second plug, plugged into the back of the cover. I have no other switches on the shifter cover since it is an Y2K. So what does that set of wires go to? It has a 4 pin connector or something like that on it, and it is just plugged into the plastic cover going to nothing. I have no idea what it might be.

Does anyone know?

yea ive seen that too when i had my console apart. I dont have Traction control on my car and i think thats where the button would be so im guessing thats what it would be for.

the 99-00 traction control button is on the lower left of the shifter cover 01+ they are below the radio, could be trac control possibly?

Sounds like the traction control.

That is about where mine is.

Mine had that too, there was actually a sticker that said it was a test connector, for manufacturing.
