hey....i was thinking about stroking my 5.0 to a 347. The only problem is, they just started doing emissions testing in my area. How difficult and expensive is it to build a stroker and keep it emissions legal? And does anyone know a good kit out there?
A stroker kit shouldn't change your emissions as long as you still have your cats on...

^ what he said as long as you have cats your in the clear, plus theres always hi-flo cats its the next best thing plus I barely passed my states emission with them on too.
As for who makes good kits id have to say Keith Kraft and DSS are two of the best companies in my opinion that make good kits/blocks

the only thing you could run into for emissions really are your H/C/I because stock will not do diddly for a stroker, keep your egr and all that fun stuff, and get a cam that isnt really radical and still emissions friendly and you will be fine. stock H/C/I on a 347 would be a complete waste of money on the rotating assembly.

if your really worried about it run the gas out of it and run ethenal for the emisions test. leave a little gas in it because if you run 0.0 emissions they will suspect something. only run what you need to do the emissions test cause the ethenal can funk up the cats and the o/2 sensors
my 331 just passed emissions.. I swapped back to a stock catted H and bumped timing down to 6 degrees advance.. aside from that I didn't change a thing.. passed with flying colors.. I have everything from larger injectors to flow tested heads.. if I had a high flow DOT legal H or X pipe and stock timing I coulda passed too, at this rate.. but since I run an offroad and 14*.. it woulda been close or over.. lol
yeah.. you should have no problems if you have cats
