V6 Hood grille delete

Hey, i got the 1999 v6 conv. i wanna cut out the fake hood scoop, smooth the edges to where u cant see it than sodder on a metal grill on the inside....??? suggestions, problems, would the paint melt while soddering underneath?

i think i get what you're saying...he wants to cut out the black part on the hood (the fake scoop) and put a grille up in there to make it functional.

that would be a lot of work. i dont think you have any need for engine cooling, but someone else can probly answer you better.

It might look slightly better, if it was done excellently..
