front license plate

does anyone know if it is illegal to not have a front license plate? i'm sure it depends on what state you're in, but here in Texas i see some people with them and some without. i would like to remove mine but i don't wanna get a ticket for it.

Id say just look it up in your local state laws its prolly txdmv.gov or something along those lines

Personally im suppuse to have one but I refuse to ever drill into my bumper. I even told the cop this when I got pulled over for it

when i lived in TX it was the law that you have one on the front and rear. if you see a car without..did you look at the back, might have been an out of stater, cause i am no living in AL where we are only required to have it on the back.

Basically if the state issues a front plate you need to display it.
