hey guys im trying to decide on how dark i should tint my windows '03 vert v6 this weekend.. i have friends with 5% tint.. do you think that is too dark to even drive at night? ohh yeah and dont tell me all the legal issues im quite aware

I say go with 15 if you aren't worried about the legalities. Anything lower than that and you're gonna have to roll down your windows at night to see.

thats what was didnt want to do...only problem is i heard that they dont have 15% tint.. only 5,20,35, 50 or something along those lines.. if they dont have 10 or 15 .. would you suggest 20 all around then 35 on the windshield

I have 35 and it's nowhere near dark enough for me. If someone says they don't make 15 percent tint, go somewhere else, cuz they're stupid. I've put it on several cars. And go ahead and do your windshield whatever the rest of the car is, you'll thank me later, I love my eyebrow when the sun is in my eyes.

Dude, don't tint your windshield, that's just dumb, and I'd be surprised if you could find a place to do it. If you do, I will guarantee that they won't guarantee.

I have 15%, and it's perfect. Don't have to roll the windows down to see at night, and it's too dark to see in during the day unless the sun is coming in through the windshield.

I had 15% and I didnt have too many problems at night. If your at a stop sign just look for lights, if there are none then its not your fault :p

Put 3 5's on top of each other if you cant find 15!!

I have 5% and I have no issues at all whats so ever. I never have to roll my windows down or anything so I dunno what they guys are talking about. I see fine and they dark as hell and I love it

i wouldnt go too dark but i wouldnt get lighter tint just to be safe. hypothetically speaking.. if you want 15 and they only have 10 and 20.. get 10.

have any of you guys have trouble with the cops and such. i plan on gettin tint soon, and i seen some tints with 20 and you can see right through it, looks terrible.

yeah i think the tint ticket is reasonably close to what it cost to have the tint taken off professionally.. pay the ticket and hope you dont get pulled over again... My question is if the place put two layers of 20 on would that cost double what one layer of like 10 would cost.. bc i m not sure that the place i want to go to has 10- which is what i think i want.

what do you guys think of the strip of tint that goes across the top of the windshield? i think i want to get one of them, but my friend keeps sayin its gay on a stang and i think it would look nice. what do you guys think of it.

My windows are actually getting tinted tomorrow, going with 5% tint this time around. I currently have 25% on the back and sail windows and 35 on the front 2 windows.

And its been a couple yrs now on there and its kinda faded some I think, or my eyes are just getting that bad!

Anyways, I wanted a tad darker and asked if they had 10%?? and they said they dont carry it, they have 5/15/20/35% tint only, so I said ok hit me with the 5% tint this time around, it is kinda dark at night, but I will deal with it. We have 5% on our Mach1 aswell and no problems ever with any cops over it.

I asked about the front part of gettingit tinted a tad lower just about below were the rearview mirror is, and they said they wont touch the front, because if you get pulled over for it passed the AVS1 line it is a ticket for reckless driving, and that goes against your driving record, but if you get a ticket for the other windows, it does not!

Gonna be hard to do the tint, cause of the slight dot matrix that goes around the window in the front of the SN95 and Up Mustangs!

It wont adhear very well, kinda like the rear window issue...might wanna get a vinyl decal and have it put into there instead.

Your only a sucker if you pay to get the tint off. You can go to pepboys buy the stuff to take it off the kit itself cost like 9 bucks all it is is some kinda spray and a razer doesnt take no more then an hour to do including taking off th erear w/ the defrost lines.

As for cops and tints it all depends on the cop and who really feels like being a dick. Ive had one incident so far and all he told me was to get it checked out by the DMV shit I know their illegal I dont need them to me that

ok... i got my tint yesterday... 5% on the back and the small two windows.. then 20 % on front and passenger windows+ 20% windshield strip.. MY opinion.. get the strip.. it keeps light out and makes the rest of your tint appear darker.

As for the 5 % on top of the 25% Krazypony.. i donno man i might just go with like 10 or 15 on top cause that will make it appear already darker than 5%.. my friend had 20 % and put 5 on top and he cant see shit.. makes it difficult at night

I dunno how you guys handle having 2 different levels of tint on your car. I couldn't stand that at all.
