Yea, his company Service Transport, has been goin down the tubes lately. So, instead of filing bankruptcy, they just closed up. So I'm taking over the Mustang payments. Got like $5k left to go. Also, we're gonna cut the internet off to save the $35 a month. So, I know I haven't been around here lately but I must step down as mod. I'll try and keep in touch when I can.

Thats unfortunate man. My parents used to own Weinershnitzel (sp?) franchizes and when they sold them they were resold to somebody else years down the line. However, something wasn't switched out of their name and when the third owner messed up my parents got sued for a huge sum of money and had to file bankruptcy even though they hadn't been associated with anything there in like 10 years. I know what you're going through.

not to like.. steal this topic and get sympathy but like.. it must be nice to own a franchise or be well off.. my mom works in the bank for almost minimum wage and my dad works in a sign company for a crappy salary. combined they make like.. 50k a year. but we werent always this well off (if thats what you want to call it).. they used to make much less back in the day (mom was unemployed and dad had minimum wage) PLUS they are in huge credit card debt. my dad used to borrow money from coworkers to afford milk to feed me when i was a baby and we lived in a trailer park.... ive been working since i was 13 years old and i bought the mustang when i was 17 with my own money because i saved up practically my entire life. now im gonna b 70k in debt myself due to college cuz my parents arent giving me a dime because they an barely afford paying heating bills (my house is ALWAYS cold). so like.. where you are now.. is where ive been my entire life.
sorry to vent but u know.. its just.. like.. a different lifestyle ive dealt with my entire life.

Funny how it works isn't it? You go to college so you can get a good job. Once you get it all you do is pay off your college debts. By the time you finally pay off your debts and save up money you're too old for an adrenaline rush anymore so you spend your money by travelling and spoiling the grand kids.

not to sound bad on you or anything... but you can get FAFSA money. I don't qualify for it, as I'm not in that situation... but my friend, who's parents make a bit more than the $50 k a year, gets over half of his paid for. Also, consider state instituion. Here, it's like $6,000 a year in-state tuition. Over 4 years, that's $24,000. That isn't too bad. If you go to community college, it gets better. Community College here is $2500 a year for tuition... so that's $5 k for two years, and $12 k for the last two, or $17,000... again, not too bad, and that's assuming you don't get FAFSA help, or Pell grant help. You should qualify for something.
