ok so tonite me, a few civic hatches and a del slow were all hangin out and decided to do some drifting because the roads were wet. (it wont eat any tires and FWD cars could do it)
first we went to a spot across from our local skate park that has a nice twisting road...in the middle of a parking lot. don't ask.
well two problems came up: the road was partially submerged and fog was destroying our already zero visibility because of no lights. then we saw 2 cops across the way ready to box us in but got out of there quick.
our second choice was home depot parking lot where we got in a few doughnuts before the semi trucks came in.
our last choice was a lowe's parking lot where we had limited space because of light poles but i managed to get a few good drifts in.
i also learned a lot about my suspension geometry. i was finding a lot of my trouble came from my rear end and it not swinging enough when i wanted, as well as my center of gravity being way far off in the drifts.
i'll probly get a good rear sway bar and some nice coilovers for the front suspension and stiffer springs for the rear.

See, it's kids that do that in Des Moines that ruin all of the hang out spots. Now the cops come by right away and run everybody off.

man i cant wait to have a rwd again.
i will be installing the lowering springs and shocks on the tbird soon. hopefully thatll reduce the body roll alot and make it better for getting sideways and not going all the way around. btw the tbird is my sisters now, and she wants it lowered, and ive had the spring/shocks sitting in the attic since 03. im gonna try to convince my parents the tbird needs posi for when its raining, so my sister doesnt lose control. which means prolly 3.73's or 4.1's with tloc out back. im such a good brother.

Eck, I got friends who drift down mountains here. Since it just rained this afternoon, there were nothing but ricers out when I was going home heading towards the hills.

"and it not swinging enough when i wanted"
My car is good at sliding sideways... but unlike yours it wants to go too far, especially in the rain

ya i need to find a good medium between stiff and soft rear end. for now tho i noticed my front end wasn't responsive enuff so i'm gonna lower it with a coilover conversion, a stiffer swaybar, and a lot of camber.

there is a real form of drifting and the stupid crap you see the imports doing .... either way its VERY bad on tires lol and doing it in the rain is a very stupid idea unless its in a parking log as you said it was.
Now that I have a tlok Ill do 180s in the rain if im not careful... once it goes so far to the side... its gone lol.

sway bar should help stiffen that up.
edit: i have a friend who hooks me up with any tire someone brings in and gets taken off that'll fit my car. so rain or shine i'll dorifto. but only in parking lots or large closed courses in the rain
