so i'm getting some gas this evening and i'm standing behind a lady at the counter. she is gathering her stuff and turns to me and says "i'm almost finished." i smile and say without thinking, "oh, that's ok, i just got gas." well she just starts busting out laughing at me as do the two cashiers and the 2 people in the other line. i then added "i mean on the pump." but i think it was too late.
i just shutup, paid my gas, and hurried home |

she knew i was joking the way i said "i mean on the pump" b/c i was laughing as i said it b/c i realized how she took in what i said.
her, as well as me and the others around me by the counter all got a good laugh out of it. |
