Ok I knew getting a mustang in the first place meant the gas mileage wouldn't be the best.. but i want to make sure there isnt a problem so i took down some numbers..
202 miles/1wk 3 days
186 miles/1wk
179 miles/ 1k 7 days
Are these numbers okay? b.c i hear that the GT should atleast go 250 miles for you...or around there.. thoughts?

you probably need to keep up with how much gas you put in it if you want to figure out your gas mileage

I get about 280-300 per tank and about 380-400 if all interstate, you need to fill, up then fill up again and take the miles and divide by the gallons and it will give you mpg.

yeah thats right, your the one driving if you get 190 and all you've done is city driving then....... if it's combined then...... I just filled up and clocked 289 with 13.5 gallons so thats 21.4 mpg and thats combined but mostly city.

depends on how you drive it. and there is a lot of factors that lower mpg. riding with the ac on in city, riding with the windows down on highway, stop and go driving, accelerating too fast, etc just to name a few.
and just stop filling your gas tank when it automatically stops... thats why it stops automatically... so you dont overfill...

Yep how you drive matters the most. I notice when I take a long trip on the Highway my gas hand does not move that much, but when i start driving in the city more that changes.

I get 27-28 mpg in my GT on the highway... between 17 and 25 in town... very dependent on throttle usage

The Mustang has a 16 gallon tank, with a 3 gallon reserve. When the low fuel light comes on, you should have around 3 gallons left, and thus the car needs about 13 gallons to fill.
OR you can pump until the gas pump goes *click* and shuts itself off... after that point, just resqueeze it to make sure it goes *click* real soon again. Some times the pump will read a gas bubble or burp as your car being full and it won't be.

You can probably fit another .3 in the filler neck though.
Honestly the best way to check your mileage is to fill it up, reset your trip meter (or mark down your mileage), drive until its low, mark down what your trip meter says, fill up again and mark down the gallons you pumped in.
Now you have how many gallons you used from fill up to fill up, and the mileage you drove. Divide the miles by the gallons. MPG.
This method makes the size of your tank irrelevant, since you go by how much gas you use from full to full.

I've put 15.8 in the GT before... and it was quite low, but still running. I would like to think I still had a tiny amount left in the tank

If you're in the L.A. area, same as me and drive stoplight to stoplight.. Yeah you'll see between 170-200 per 12-13 gallon fill-up unless you throw some highway driving in (a little bit of steady cruising usually bumps me up to 230-250)

I think every 30,000 miles it needs a new fuel filter. Depends on gas a little bit i bet
