this is very very fresh stuff. The cops almost literally just left her mom's house... her car was jacked right off the street... parked exactly across the street from my car. Her car is a 1997 Gran Prix, so not worth nearly what mine is. Not sure why they picked her car instead of mine... but I would've heard them if they tried to steal my car. Gotta love that flowthrough loud ass exhaust. But yeah, it had her school work in it and everything. Her dad isn't very happy... but what can you do? I feel bad for her.

Get Lo-Jack. My cousin's car was stolen 3 times, and with Lo-Jack he got it back each time. It's good stuff

You can't slim jim my car...I put a different plate in there besides the stock one. I can't even get in my car without busting a window...or using the key.

Haha, I have my alarm keyless entry, and my factory keyless entry, I have never unlocked my door with my key.

I have never unlocked my car with my key either... I think it's stupid, and I'm lazy... also, I ALWAYS make my car beep like 12 times after I get out of it to make sure it's locked... and to make sure everyone else knows it's locked if I'm in a 'bad neighborhood'.. but I always make it beep at least twice

you'd have to know her dad first... but as soon as he got there (parents aren't together...) he like glared at her, because it was his old car.. until he got his 2004 Altima. I felt bad for her, not like she asked for her car that she works so hard for to get stolen

That sucks. And Brad, I'd bet money I could get in your car. All it would take is a long piece of metal that resembled a hangar.

I forget how much Lo-Jack costs, but when you get it the police can find your car quickly. It's not a "let's hope I see it driving by", but "we can track it down using lo-jack"
It's basically like.. a tracking system for your car. I highly recommend it, when I come back from Boston I think I'll get it. You only pay for Lo-jack ONCE, no montly payments or anything.

Yeh, but once you get in, the alarm starts going off. Then you have to disable that, and bypass my starter kill, and bypass the pats system. Hell, just steal the gt conv parked next door.

the cop said they usually find them abandoned on the side of the road... this is when it runs out of gas... she just filled up the tank tonight too... gas was $1.89... how can you pass that up? I got my old insurance card out of my glove box, slapped my license plate number on it, and it's in my pocket now... just in case something happens to my car.. just in case. Yeah, they won't be able to start it, but it doesn't stop them from towing it.

well, the car isn't worth all that much... so they doubt it'll be torn up for parts. They said it would probably just have the gas used out of it, and maybe some new dents... and turn up in a couple days abandoned. I know stealing a Mustang isn't impossible... but it's a lot harder than stealing a Gran Prix.

I've caught 2 people trying to steal my 89 and it had been broken into 3 times before that in the year I've had it...
my '02, I can see where someone tried to stick a slim jim down the weatherstripping recently.. but nothing was missing inside the car far as I could tell..

lojack is a system that can be used to track the car via radar( i believe) whether the car is on or off. basically a cop can zero into your cars signal and track it via a directional pointer that tells him where to head, usually able to get the car within minutes of the steal and catch the people in the act.
also id recommend keyless entry alarms with the keychain beeper and silent alarm mode. set the car on silent alarm. when someone comes by it and peeps in, itll beep you once on your keychain, but the car wont beep, so the person wont know it has a alarm. you get out of bed and grab a bat and creep outside all stealthy. the perp then takes out a crowbar/slimjim and tries to get in. at this point the keychain beeps you telling you someone is attempting to get in. but its already too late cause you tap the guy on the shoulder, he swings around, you clock him in the head with the bat. then you duct tape him to a chair and torture him for a week or so, until its apparent that he never touches anything that isnt his again his whole life.
btw if someone took my car, i might be sad for a few minutes, till i called up the insurance and tell them the wholesale value of my car(9500, my freind did wholesale book value on my car when he worked at ford) and get a nice check, go out and buy a 99+ GT.
