Got in my first races with the cobra... holy shit!!

So I decided I wanted to go wash my car, so im driving down one of the main roads here in lawrence and I see an older 5.0 stang pull out and i let him get right in front of me... well we're sittin there at the light, me behind him and it turns green and i see him sort of get on it then just hit the throttle.. turns out theres a camaro SS 5 speed, unknown what year it was, but it was there. Anyway, the 5.0 eventually turned off on another street and I ended up behind the SS. The light goes, and i get on it slowly and move to the other lane so I can pass the SS and see if he'll bite. Well he does, he whips the car in my lane behind me and gets right on my ass. Well at that point we didnt get any stoplights, but after one of them he just darted into the other lane and flew by me before i had any time to downshift or anything so i start following him and we end up at an open area and he just hammers it. I try to hang with him but couldnt, look down and see my speedo and im doing 125 and this guys still pulling hard on me. I say screw it, and slow down then turn around to go back. Well the dude pulls a U turn when he sees I turned around and starts hauling ass to catch up with me. He eventually gets behind me again when I see a blue 05 GTO pull out of wal-mart parking lot right in front of me. Well I get in the other lane, and pull up next to him. We get a red light and i kinda rev it a little to see if hes up for it... turns out he is too. Im just sitting there at the light thinking "oh god oh god oh god oh god" cause I have no idea what to expect. Well the light turns, and I try to feather the clutch in first since the 4.10s allow no traction at all, and realize hes defanitely gettin on his car. At this point the SS is still behind me as Im running the GTO, and I mean right on my ass... well I stay even with the GTO guy all through first and START PULLING ON HIM!!! in second, powershift to 3rd and got a little bit more on him then had to shut down cause of traffic. His bumper was about at my door when I shut down and at that point im sitting there shaking cause of the rush... after that I couldnt even push the clutch down cause my leg was shaking so bad lol... It was freakin awesome, but that SS was insane fast, and I was really really impressed with how my car was up on that GTO... makes me VERY happy lol

awesome man! the best is picking on ricers...... just hammer it and dump the clutch to get the tires goin, they think they are badass b/c they are staying even with a 5.0 mustang, then your tires stop spinning 1/2 through 3rd and you just start pulling. lol, its fun.

the 125 run isnt actually correct, it has 4.10s and i havnt gotten a speedcal for it so it reads fast. I was at the point that i didnt want to go faster cause its not safe, so I slowed down. Also, no cars were within probably 3 miles ahead of me except him, and that distance was growing quite quickly lol
