So I got my dynotune today. EJ's dyno in Omaha. He does a very good thorough job It's a mustang dyno so the numbers are a bit low. A dynojet should give me around 420/400. He said I have around 460 hp at the crank
I started losing fuel pressure around 5300 rpm but I have enough injector to make up for it.
It's a conservative tune by the way
A video should be on the way sometime

svt focus. It's either running out of steam at the top or it is draining the bucket too fast.

what is the SVT focus pump rated at in lph?
i stuck a walbro 255lph high pressure pump in my turbo coupe, theyre able to handle the higher fuel pressure needs of a forced induction car, and for most cars that are street driven, the pump will be more than enough
and you can pick em up for 100 bucks plus shipping

Yeah, but that's a return style pump, I have a returnless system. The focus pump is good up to 450 rwhp so I'm thinking that it's just draining the bucket.
I may pick up a boost a pump sometime to take care of the extra psi up top. Right now I have enough fuel though.

definately time for a bigger fuel pump. i dont know, a focus fuel pump? it might be able to supply 450hp on a car with 4 cylinders, but i would think being a V8 youre gonna be having almost double the fuel cunsumption than the 4.
btw i assume you have a fuel pressure regulator since you said you know youre losing fuel pressure after 5300. if you dont, you should definately invest in one. makes a world of difference as far as tuning consistency and efficiency.

^^^ it doesnt matter how many cylinders your car has, a fuel pump is rated by how many liters per hour it can pump... doesnt matter if its 4 cyls or 384 cyls, itll still pump the same lph

it flows 210 lph. And no, it doesn't matter how many cylinders you have. The thing is that it didn't fall off on every run. The important thing is that my AF ratio was always in a safe area (even on the conservative side)
I can't put a fuel pressure regulator on my system. returnless remember?

returnless?
dam i have been here prolly 2 years and dont really know the difference of a returnless vs a return fuel system, other than i guess some fuel gets returned to the tank, and returnless, it dont. | | |
