chip or speedcal?

I'm wanting to get some 3.73's in an 8.8" rear end.... I have an automatic. I heard the speedcal may not work with my car. If it did... which would be better, a chip or the speedcal? Anyone know where I can get a cheap chip, that's good.

Speedcal type devices work in 94-98 autos, and 94+ 5spds, but not in 99+ autos. You'll need a chip or flasher to correct the speedo, send me an email if you want some info on the SCT stuff, justin@vmptuning.com
