This may sound petty, but I hate my gauge needles. The '94 has yellow needles that look faded and discolored (not sure if that's age or how they looked new). I've noticed that the more recent SN95's had much better looking red ones.
Does anyone here happen to know whether they are interchangeable? I would expect so, but don't want to assume. I know that I can't just replace the cluster with a newer one, since the '96 and up were wired differently.
I'm also not sure what year they changed to the red...'99 maybe? Anybody? Beuller? It would be cool if I could hit a junkyard with a plastic spoon and pop out a set that would fit my dash!

I am pretty sure they all are interchangeable unless they changed the thickness of the little pin they push down on~
they changed in 99
here are 99's

Yeah, it's that pin they're pushed on that concerned me. I wouldn't expect them to change anything like that if they didn't have to, but hope not to find out bad news the hard way.
Awesome looking dash you've got there. Doubt I'd notice the yellow if I had a row of bright orange bonus stats in the way like that!

Just make sure you get them back on in the correct spot. When I changed my gauges out they said I should crank the vehicle, let it heat up to operating temp, then mark down what all my gauges read at idle. Then reseting the new needles with the engine running at operating temp.
You could always pull the needles out and paint them to match your car! (just don't drive at night)

HA! Maybe I should just paint "needles" on--permanently pegged at top speed and the redline, etc.? Would that make me faster? :P

oh yea, good point, when you take needles off a pre 99 you have to put them back on correctly... aka go drive an figure out what goes where
