tire size

I just treated myself to a new set of wheels and need to know what size tires to put on them. They are the black bullits 17x9 for the front and 17x10.5 deep dish for the rear. I have been told different sizes from many people and would like to know what you guys think. Also I currently have the stock 15in wheels on the car and was wondering if I had to have the speedometer adjusted? Thanks
