I NEED new paint:/

Okay so I have a SILVER 01sixer, which has to be the worst color for cracking. And it has started doing so all over.
I was wondering if anybody has an estimate on how much it would cost to fix the cracking, and then repaint it a different color. Such as the Mineral gray or the dark gray that came out those years?
I don't know if anybody on here has had this experience but any shared would be appreciated.

an entire repaint will range from 200 dollars to well... any limit.
For a good job expect 2-4k for a repaint.

A dozen cans of krylon spray paint on a windy day - $100
A decent paint job with sanding, coats, and baking - as Spec said, 2-4k+

Hey, that's what I plan on doing with my fox this winter.  ONly I plan on building a redneck paint booth in the carport to do so.

Oh, well the redneck paint booth makes it ok 
Though I did see an AMC Javelin at a car show that had to be painted with a 6inch brush on a 30mph windy day...it was terrible

I just want to make mine all one color...right now the clear is peeled so bad and gone in a lot of places that I plan to just scuff it up and paint it all one color. Down the road after I'm don't restoring it/modding it, it will get a real paint job.

It's getting a big block, will be lots of fitting and adjusting going on....good paint will for sure get messed up.

460 base worked out to something over 500 ci. I want 540+ ci, but we will see what budget allows for. I will get the base engine after my lake george trip in a few weeks. Get it worked out .040-.060 over...and start piecing it together from there.
I'm hoping to maybe install it late next year, early 2011...but, I have some other big expenses coming up as well...so we shall see how soon we can get this thing together and I can stop claiming I'm doing something and actually do it.

Nice, should be bitchin. Hey it's all in what time and the wallet allows man. It sounds like it'll be a fun project (the expected/occuring setbacks and problems aside).
I'd like to do something similar after I done with school. A nice project car that I can build at my own pace.
