i've never heard of a 300 stall before. a 300 0 stall however, will allow you to rev the car up to 3000 rpms before the tires break loose versus like 1500 or so stock, thus enabling you to launch at a higher rpm. (when you put one foot on the brake and one on the gas)
and it will not take a few seconds off your time, its not that badass.
its my opinion that you dont even need this unless you constantly stay at the track, and even then i have heard that 2800 works fine too. i have seen people run better times launching off idle or revving the car slightly. b/c if you rev too high and just jump on the gas on green, then it might be harder to hook up on street tires
i dont need to stall my car up to 3k to take off from traffic lights though, i can go fine off idle.

get a 2800 stall and you should see like a .5 drop in the quarter.

2,800 might be a bit steep for a stock V6 stang...
if you put a converter in it, youre going to need a nice big tranny cooler also

Not totally true. A 3000 stall lets you break-stall until about 2200 rpms, it fully locks up at 3000 rpms.
It will take a half second off your 1/4 with just that mod
You will see an improvement without having to brakestall. It is lighter, multiplies torque higher and more effeciently. It's just like getting gears, on top of gears. It is the best performance mod for an auto. bar-none. (better than gears)
no it's not. 2800 is the right stall speed for a v6

They make one of the most popular and highest quality converters out there. The PI Stallion 3000 retails for around $750. Well worth it in my opinion if you want to become a serious threat on the track.
Remember all those people who ragged on you for getting an auto Mustang? Well if you get one of those badboys along with a shift kit, tranny cooler, and a nice set of gears with a locker, you'll be faster than all of those manuals (given they have the same setup as you). After all, nothing will beat a computer shifting.

yea a 3k stall will let you hold it till 2200 off the line, and dont expect more than .5 tenths off your time (which is alot)
